3/5/20 ^^^Let's build on the momentum

I woke up at 4:50 am.  Snoozed awhile and woke up again at 5:30 am.  I am trying out a different strategy today.

Today I sahur by eating a sausage roll and 3 small dates.  Then when iftar I eat OMAD.  The only difference here with a regular Ramadan fast is I drink tea and water in between.

I am so excited to exercise that I might start at 6:30 am.

I'm also listening to 247 Continuous.

It will be something to start at 6:30 am although I'm worried I might step on some dog poo.

Still it is very tempting.

Then again the self-gratification monkey said do it at 7:00 am.  The only way to deal with the monkey is get ready 15 minutes ahead of time.

The monkey cannot be reasoned with.  So the only way to do it is by TAKING MASSIVE ACTION PLAN.

I just discovered the answer to my lifelong issue with procrastination.  The answer is right in front of me all along.  I need to do it IMMEDIATELY and FLAMBOYANTLY.  Then I should not give excuse until I make it.

Today I will put this principle to test.

The songs are just nice.  The blogging is ample.

What is missing is you intervention.  That is my dopamine hit.

Now that I know my nemesis, I will fight the self-gratification monkey head on.

I should live by the alarm not by the clock.  If I live by the clock I will always negotiate for a later time.  But if I live by the alarm, nothing is negotiable.

Now I remember why I have watches with alarms.  The alarm is my panic monster.  That suppose to scare the self-gratification monkey.

I look forward to the sound of the alarm.  It is my friend in need.
