I don't know how opportunity prone is Wan Mus. However he is somebody I can work with.
However, he is not very good in pricing. His price is normally out of the range. Now, he is going to compete with the Goliath of the industry. I hope he has the firepower.
He doesn't have track record. On top of that he doesn't have a studio.
It is a long shot for him. Even Glen is a dwarf in this game.
Well with Wan Mus I have the chance to earn finder's fee (normally it is 10%). I don't expect anything from Glen. Furthermore Wan Mus has reserve for 6 months while Glen has reserve for 2 months. Definitely Wan Mus can afford to be kind.
Glen as I said is a cheapskate. So as a cheapskate he will always trying to get things for free or near free. He can never grow his business because he doesn't want to spend on resources. At best he attract low lifes like him.
Glen is never into win-win. It is always I win with him.
He had been hiring and firing staff since the day I know him. He took in a partner who was only interested in doing MLM. Then he had a telemarketing team. That went quite well but he doesn't grow as a training business.
After so many years, he still operate at the lower level of the food chain. Going for the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) pool of companies.
The training industry is about who you know. All the years you got to build your credentials. In the case of Glen, he had positioned himself as a team building trainer. There is no solid product.
People see him as a one off training service provider.
------------------
On the contrary Perth Pal is swimming with the sharks. He is well read and he captivate the audience. Between him and his partner Sazali, people prefer him.
I don't know how in the world he can train 20 days a month. My maximum is 12 days. Even that if it is the same program, I will burnout pretty fast. That is why I smoke pot before class, just to give me the lift.
I used to sleep in the car before class. Training is so boring. The only thing good about it is the money. I am glad I am out of the industry.
To do a million dollar contract, you need to have the stamina. The best job in training is doing sales. When you do sales you control the customer. That is why you need good trainers.
Pal is a good trainer. He lost his Sales Director to Sazali. He lost a few trainers to him too. If I am Pal I make sure I work my ass off. That's what he had been doing for the past 3 years.
I don't envy him at all. While he was spilling his guts for 5 hours, I was enjoying myself. Here I am with so much time on my hand enjoying my retirement, he in exchange still have to struggle to build his business.
---------------------
Now where does that put Wan Mus? He is a very resourceful person. Wan Mus is backed by a large IT firm. That's where he got his business. He had been playing the subcontractor game. It had been a successful model for him for years.
However he mentioned that he wanted a piece of action from the training business. So I decided to give him the first break. It was I who gave him his first contract when he decided to become a freelance consultant years ago.
Wan Mus is a good person. Smart but not complex. He is empathic of my illness and the best part is he tries to understand my plight as a Bipolar Patient. Hence I am willing to bet on my worst horse. As Suzuki Roshi was saying, the worst horse may end up as the best horse if he put in the effort.
The thing that I like about him is his cheery disposition. He is always happy go lucky. Not only that, he is willing to contact me. Not many people contact me nowadays. I got Sashi contacting me on regular basis but personally I rather that Sashi don't contact me. Shashi can help me financially but he choose to talk cock sing song instead.
With Wan Mus, I am banging on his resourcefulness.
[12:40 PM, 5/13/2020] sharudinj: Oh yeah bro, don't mention to MOF you know me.

[1:08 PM, 5/13/2020] sharudinj: With 600,000 unemployed I am looking at minimum RM30 million worth of contract. That could be the Entrepreneurship portion alone.
[1:36 PM, 5/13/2020] Wan Mus: Noted
[2:46 PM, 5/13/2020] sharudinj: Lagi satu you should know, Tengku Zafrin is already in talking terms with a prominent training company who just set up his studio last month.
[2:48 PM, 5/13/2020] sharudinj: I mean Tengku Zafrul
With 600,000 unemployed I am looking at minimum RM30 million worth of contract. That could be the Entrepreneurship portion alone. I am looking at minimum 5% Finder's Fee; which is RM1.5 million.
