14/5/20 ^^^I dropped the bomb on Pal

I had asked the question to Pal, "Can I sell my time at a reasonable rate?"

That is very important.  If I cannot sell my time, I might as well stay put.  He didn't reply.  Which means he is in a financial difficulty.  He even redeemed his insurance policy.  That is how cash strapped is this guy.

Imagine, that's how desperate he is.  I feel sorry for him.  He needs RM100 k per month to stay afloat and out of that he needs to take home RM50 k.  That's because he borrowed so much; buying 11 properties.  Glen was also in the same position; buying 4 houses.  Sazali is not better off either.  He did not pay for his car loan and income tax.

Well, the genie had granted my wish; 20 years after.  These people are in deep shit because they don't save.

Again, I have no money.  But then I have no liability.  I have to thank Lizzie for that.  She is my financial advisor numero uno.  We play financial defense and won.

My weekend activity

Honey,

Normally on weekends I'll catch up with my reading and socializing.

These are my thoughts on society:

My conclusion after reading Relentless by Tim Grover:

A lot of people are just Closers.  Some are Coolers.  It is very difficult to find a Cleaner.  Makes me think that most people are living in fear.  They don't venture out of their comfort zones.  Worse, they are lazy thinkers.

Most people don't read.  You may think that with information explosion we get wiser people.  Definitely we don't.  People are happy just surfing for mundane information disregarding the valuable knowledge they can attain.  "What is the problem with men today?"  Asked a London reporter.  The answer that he got from the late Nobel Prize Winner, Dr Albert Schweitzer was, "Man simply don't think".

I decided to do an experiment.  I posted 4 postings in Facebook.  One on durian, one on KL Walk, one on defining crisis and one on a book that I had read.  They were published about the same time.

The highest hit at the time of this entry is the one on KL Walk, next is the durian, then in a far distance is on the book review and no like at all on the issue of crisis.  People just want entertainment.  On a more serious matter, they rather not think.  It seemed that by not thinking about it, the problem would disappear.  That is living in denial.  Most people in my conclusion rather evade than confront.

Honey, I wrote an email to you on lazy thinkers; based on my observation of the society in general. Of course I did that after doing some field observation LOL.
