Back to wheeling and dealing
Dear Els,
I had a fruitful discussion this morning. It was a discussion on a strategic alliance. It seems that I still have people who believe in me after a 10 years hiatus from the training industry.
I am here to offer my network the opportunity to collaborate with each other. My role is of a deal maker while they focus on the fulfillment part of the service delivery.
Personally I am not keen to train anymore. I rather broker a deal and move on. In this case I am resuming the role of Joe Pesci in the Irishman. I pull the strings and I meet people together.
However as a consultant, I will still contribute my knowledge capital in podcasts and seminars. I am positioning myself as a Corporate Mentor rather than as a trainer. The money will be lesser but the personal presence will be more.
Honest to goodness, I rather maintain my present role as a blog writer. I enjoy writing more than speaking in the public.
With this new model, I will be making a substantial amount of money. I was thinking of extending my effort in helping others. Currently I am supporting small businesses and the needies who are affected by the MCO by providing them will some minor financial support.
